Can I expect to hear any numbers stations with my current radio and from my location? Yes. 2. Would someone mind giving me an idea of where wold be a good place, frequency wise, to start looking? Check the Spy Numbers Database for stations M08 and V02 (the Cubans) and see what times and freqs they've been using for the last few nights. Check those freqs at the top of the hour. 3. My time of listening would most likely be between 2400 - 0400 on weekdays. Is that in UTC? 4. Any other tips or suggestions for someone new to the hobby? Use an external antenna. Scan between bands. Do all that, and I guarantee you'll hear the Cubans tonight. __ Spooks mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Spooks@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Your neighbor is most likely a ham. First, go to the ARRL database and find his call sign. Then determine his favorite ham band by the length of his antenna(s). Scan through the appropriate band(s) during high traffic times and listen for his call sign: there's your neighbor. __ Spooks mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/spooks Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Spooks@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
