I'm wondering' if the operators refer to themselves by another acronym?

Egyptian culture being what it is, generally.

Just out of curiosity, with the situation in Egypt unfolding as it is,
I am curious if anyone has come across any Ham broadcasts coming out
of Egypt. As you know, they don't have internet, so relaying
uncensored information is almost impossible (without tethering to a
cellphone and dialing an international isp). The only other affordable
method I can think of would be Ham.

So, has anyone caught any odd broadcasts potentially pertaining to
 Egypt in the last week?

If so, if you could supply freqs, I would greatly appreciate it.

It appears there have only been a couple radio amateurs active from
Egypt in the last couple weeks, the last one being spotted on Jan. 23.
I don't know if they were able to relay any info on current events or
not.

This was being discussed yesterday at the QRP-L group. One of the members
posted this message and link...

It looks like morse code strikes again. The internet was shut down in
Egypt. It looks like morse code is being used to pass around info via
ham radio. Kudos to the ham operators.
