Just to be clear, LMS only reads the tags/metadata to build it's data
base for viewing in the various menu options(except Music Folder). It
doesn't care about or read the file names or directory structure. You
are correct that LMS will rebuild the database on a clear and rescan,
but it only looks at the tags that are added when you rip.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Question on Replay Gain Tag Precedence.

2016-07-24 Thread chincheta0815

Hi there,

in my library I have all tracks tagged via mp3gain and some in addition
with iTunes Soundcheck.

As I read in the SlimServerWiki the precedence is APE, ID3v1, ID3v2 with
ID3v2 having the highest prio.

So in the double tagged files iTunes Soundcheck will make it...

Is there a way to set the replaygain tags for mp3 all to APE without
deleteing the iTunes Soundcheck Tag in the whole library?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting, just checked and yes both routes to the file path are the
same, in my case 'storage/music/flac/'

(I will try to remember to put in a few spaces as well, thanks DJanGo)

Cheers.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9 Where has the scheduled rescan gone ?

2016-07-24 Thread leinster-lad

Thamk Michael, it was a plug in.
Installed it and reboot.
Show up in the plug in list.
Also in the "Advanced" tab. "Rescan Music Library" drop down.

Set the schedule and all good !

Thanks again

Dave

If you play one of the tracks that *doesn't* show up at ALBUM ARTISTS /
ALL ARTISTS / ALBUMS / COMPILATIONS by selecting it through MY MUSIC -
MUSIC FOLDER, when you drill down to the track details, is the filepath
to the folder the same as the one that LMS scans?

A library is a library like a ordinary book library
A Database is a book/log where some infoa are stored like book a from
author b is written in 1982 and is a novel.

Btw: its easier to read lines with some spaces between.

Hi Michael,

there must be something wrong with that "plugin" > Rescan.pm by Andrew Hedges
(and...@hedges.me.uk) October 2002
> # Timer functions added by Kevin Deane-Freeman (kevi...@shaw.ca) June
> 2004
>

I am under 7.9 and the file/folderstructure looks like:

Code:

/usr/share/perl5/Slim/Plugin/Rescan
  Settings.pm:return
Slim::Web::HTTP::CSRF->protectURI('plugins/Rescan/settings/basic.html');

But the 'Settings'
page isnt shown up.
When i revert to 7.7 the plugin is listed (other than in 7.9) and the
settings page is shown up and working.
