Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9 randomly skips to the next song without finishing the one playing

2017-01-06 Thread madattack

Hi there,

out of nowhere since a couple of day I experience the same issue when
using google music plug in. Random songs are not played until the end.
LMS skips to the next track approx. 10 to 20 secs. before the end of the
current song. I already tried a couple of things which did not help at
all:

- reinstall of LMS 7.9
- reinstall of Google Music Plugin from
github.com/squeezebox-googlemusic/squeezebox-googlemusic
- Update of gmusicapi to 10.1.0

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 as a server and squeezelite clients on
Raspberry Pi B.

Any ideas what could be the reason?

Ok, I'll send you the 3 albums (the first I mentionned and the two from

That's all there is? I'd say this is irrelevant. But from that latest

Hi Roland0 - Appreciate your input. I initially thought the same thing
as well, but as I said previously, I am certain those files have been
there for years. There's no reason I would have added/deleted anything
from those specific directories (at least not within the time frame that
I started having problems) and I even checked the created/modified dates
which are from 2007-ish, so I'm leaning towards something having changed
on the server side (possibly something to do with image processing?). I
probably could have just fixed/removed those images to keep the plugins
enabled, but since I don't use them I was fine with disabling.

wliptrot - Did you get to the bottom of this? If you want to see what
(if any) files were causing your issues with those plugins enabled, it
should show in the server.log file at the completion of a media scan
with just the default debugging settings. I did not have to enable any
additional logging to see those errors in my log file.

I have a very similar problem, except I can't get some stations to play
at all in LMS. My three local public radio stations (KQED, KALW, KPFA)
do the same thing as quoted above (counts a few secs, stops, no sound).
I have them set up as Favorites in TuneIn (along with several other
stations both public and commercial that play fine). I've entered the
URL many different times and ways with no result.
When I first set up Max2Play, I used the basic MPD Player, and these
stations played fine. I changed to LMS because the phone app is easier
to use.

I don't know how you would uninstall LMS, as this is something I have
never done. I use a Pi as my server.

I suppose uncheck "Autostart Squeezebox Server" then click the save
button. Then click the "stop Squeezebox server" button will suffice
until someone else chimes in.

It's not clear what you are doing to play a stream.

I'm assuming you have credted a Favorite, something is playing and the
pulseaudio sytero mintor device is valid, and then you truied to play
the Favorite.

Favorite will nto play if
1. The URL is invalid
2. The device is invalid
3. The filetype wavin is not setup correct

The first two look OK - I don't know pulseaudio on Ubuntu 16.10 nor how
it is running (e.g. system daemon ) but you should check permissions of
user which runs LMS and whether that user can run Pulseaudio stuff.

Check WebUI Setting/Advanced filetypes - under wavin what settings are
valid.

If all above are OK - then nee to do logging.

1. In WebUI Setting/Advanced/logging - set player.source to DEWBUG and
click Apply.
2 Note time
3. Try playing the wavin Favorite
4. Assuming it doesn't work - wait 10 secs and note time.
5. From time noted in step 2 until time noted in step 4 copy all entries
in server.log file into a text file. zip the text file and attach to a
post.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Display bug with LMS web interface

2017-01-06 Thread Antoniop

Hi all,
Is it the place to report a bug with the LMS ? I hope so.
I think I found a bug with LMS web interface.
When adding a specific album (see pic) to the playlist, the first track
starts to play but the playlist appears empty, while it's not because
the playing time is Ok.
I'm using LMS version 7.9.0 - 1483541999 running on a raspberry Pi;
I don't have this problem with a (much) older version of LMS.

Kind regards
Antonio

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS won't send audio to Max2Play running on Raspberry Pi [Details inside]

2017-01-06 Thread kidstypike

You seem to have LMS installed on your Pi, this is the *max2play* in
bold in your screeshot, if you haven't configured a music library on
this LMS instance, you should switch it off.

You may need to go through selecting and clicking "yes" for the max2play
(player) a couple of times until it eventually connects to LMS on your
HP Proliant N54L.

2017-01-06 Thread Max2Play

Hi luke,
Please try renaming your Max2Play device. Also, make sure you do not
have another Squeezebox Server installed on the M2P device that
interferes with your server.

No time to really read but maybe the router has changed the max2play IP
address

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS won't send audio to Max2Play running on Raspberry Pi [Details inside]

2017-01-06 Thread 1uke_

::BACKGROUND INFO::

My LMS runs on a HP Proliant N54L that runs Open Media Vault.

I installed LMS last week and have had it running for the last week and
had no issues.

This morning when I turn on my server and try to send some audio to my
Raspberry Pi Running Max2Play I get a couple of issues.

::ISSUE 1::

I can see to available clients to send the audio to

21810

If I select the top client all my music disappears from LMS. I then have
to go through the install Wizard but I can only see the file structure
of my Raspberry Pi and can no longer access the files on my Media
server

If I select 'Yes' the screen disappears but I have not connected to the
Max2Play client.

21811

::QUESTIONS::

- Can anyone help me fix these issues?
- How do I remove the duplicate / incorrect client from displaying in
  LMS?
- How can I get my music streaming properly again?
