[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Player connection issues
I'm running logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-0.1.1494667952.noarch on CentOS 7.3. I have 2 Squeezebox Radio (baby) units and a Squeezebox 2 Wireless. They don't appear to be connecting to server. Oddly, if I log into the web interface, I can see the players listed, and I can play tunes by selecting playlists or songs individually. But the players themselves won't connect. SSH-ing into one and looking at the log shows: Code: Jan 1 19:48:43 squeezeplay: INFO applet.ChooseMusicSource - ChooseMusicSourceApplet.lua:648 connectPlayerToServer() LocalPlayer {SqRadio1} SlimServer {my_server} Jan 1 19:48:43 squeezeplay: INFO squeezebox.server - SlimServer.lua:683 wakeOnLan(): Sending WOL to XX:YY:ZZ:XX:YY:ZZ Jan 1 19:48:43 squeezeplay: INFO squeezebox.player - LocalPlayer.lua:203 connectToServer(): connecting localPlayer to serverSlimServer {my_server} via internal call Jan 1 19:48:43 squeezeplay: INFO net.slimproto - SlimProto.lua:592 connect to 192.168.15.10 (192.168.15.10) Jan 1 19:48:43 squeezeplay: INFO net.slimproto - SlimProto.lua:152 Send HELO: reconnect-bit=0 bytesReceived(H,L)=0,3675244 Jan 1 19:49:03 squeezeplay: WARN applet.ChooseMusicSource - ChooseMusicSourceApplet.lua:634 Connection failure or Timeout, current count: 21 And yeah... The date reports: Code: # date Thu Jan 1 22:23:57 EST 1970 which seems odd, but manually setting the date doesn't help. I've disabled the firewall, but still can't get things to connect. I've deleted /var/lib/squeezebox and started from scratch and resetted the player preferences through the web interface. Still stuck. I tried searching the forums for "ChooseMusicSourceApplet" but nothing seemed relevant... Can anyone point me in another direction? cskaryd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39250 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server, Duet and Podcasts
Do you therefore suggest that I update to LMS 7.9? I personally believe 7.9 is the best LMS ever ;-). But it's not officially supported. No problem for you, as you're here in the forums anyway. If so, what is the latest stable version that I should install, can you provide a link, please and will it install directly over my current version of LMS? In http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?107110 addition, I use Erland's Custom Browse plugin and have generated menus for Composers, Popular Artists, etc. I'd like to be sure that this functionality would still be supported in LMS 7.9, before I change. There is some funky interaction going on between Erland's plugins and 7.9's Fulltext Search. But I don't remember which of his plugins experienced that issue. If you encounter any issue using yours, then disable the Fulltext Search plugin in LMS. And yes, you can simply install it on top of your existing installation. As you can tell from the above I'm very much a novice where LMS is concerned, and I've only investigated the podcast option due to the recent loss of the iPlayer Extra functionality. An alternative approach is to configure the podcasts on mysqueezbox.com, too. This way you would have it with 7.7.x on all interfaces. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I mean ... in the main interface there is already a nice shortcut (hold the play button) but that doesn't work from the widget. I'd love that. I get used to the Widget, langsam aber sicher. Before that I only used iPeng to comfortably search for some artist now and then and mostly to switch the alarm clock on and off. A shame, I know now. ;) karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107400 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
