Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Don't Stop the Music?
I'm using 7.9.0. I don't see either "Player Extras" or "Don't Stop the Music" in Plugins. How old is your 7.9.0? That version was in the builds for several years :-) -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

LMS is a 32-bit app and QTS no longer supports that after 4.3.x LMS isn't limited to 32 bits. We have support for several 64 bit Perl versions. Thanks, @oyvindo. I appreciate your knowledge. And I think you're much deeper into LMS on QNAP as I am. But :) 1) TE had 7.7.2 up and running as he wrote. 2) Me myself managed several times to upgrade recent LMS 7.9.1, under QTS 4.2 I think. Maybe I mounted /tmp elsewhere some times ago, but definitely didn't recently. 3) TR tried a container solution. When he got stuck by not finding his music out of the containers LMS, I told him to ask (you) in QNAP Forum. As he went on here, so did I. My sincere apologies, if I mislead him. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107971 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Sorry, I didn't realize you were one and the same person :-) My bad... Anyway, installing LMS in CS is pretty straight forward if you carefully follow my guide. However - the guide assumes that you have installed CS itself correctly. I suspect that you may have made some mistakes during installation of CS. Especially you need to tell CS correctly where to store containers and where to find shared folders, during installation of CS itself. Have you checked that? Also, what you can do, is to enter into the container using SSH (my guide tells you how to do that), then - from within the container itself - try to browse the folder tree and see if you can find your own music. I have tried to run it in Container station, but I can't get the music directory to work, despite instructions. I have tried several of the LMS versions for Container Station, "justifiable" seems to be the newest image. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
OMG - what are you all trying to do to this poor fellow?!? 1. You can NOT install any version of LMS natively under QTS 4.3.x anymore! LMS is a 32-bit app and QTS no longer supports that after 4.3.x 2. If you want to run LMS 7.9.x under a previous version of QTS, you ca - but it is very difficult because the tarball is supposed to be loaded temporarily in the /tmp folder which resides by default in flash. The 7.9.x tar balls are too big so the flash overflows. Therefore you have to temporarily move the /tmp folder to your HDD. That is no easy task. 3. If you want to run LMS under QTS 4.3.x you need to use Container Station. One thing: will the link between Musik in CACHEDEV1 and HDA_DATA permanent? Or does it break everytime the QNAP is restarted?
