Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Don't Stop The Music MusicIP mix
I changed the mixing mode in https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/commit/21d6247f6756178b15a858a51098c8d5ca4e4d95 New 7.9 builds should be out in a few hours. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Squeezebox starts to play a selected cut, then stops after a few seconds
If you have more than one player and use synchronization, try unsyncing. This occurs every time I update LMS. Once all players are unsynced, it works fine, including resyncing. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Forbidden: settings/index.html
Accessing Webfrontend from 192.168.2.101 (my Desktop PC). DHCP done by HW-Firewall: 192.168.2.100 Ok, then LMS is working as expected: you're accessing it from a different network. This is no longer possible without further configuration. If you want us/me to help you "fix" the issue (work around that security feature), then you'll have to explain how these networks are connected to each other. How things are set up. Because this is not a standard installation, we need more information. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

That's normal (and very desirable), for each track, when decoding ends and the buffer is filled up, sox process die. This could be very early with 44.1Khz material and big enougth buffers. You need a secure means of remote access to the music storage in some way or another for a remote LMS server You need a secure means of access to the LMS server if it is on this "Public" (What do you mean by that ?) server A VPN could provide either/or When I am saying VPN I'm not talking about the VPN "services" you see advertised, more the like provided by Openvpn etc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network > Let me understand it better. > You mean a local LMS server that can read the files from the public Plex > Server? If so, is the normal behaviours: read from input, decode, fill the buffer and wait. Depending on the Squeezelite's buffers size you'll have longer or shorter intervals, but the decoding job is quite a simple one and is taking a very little amount of cpu. In my system I have 1GB buffer, so sox is working for few seconds at the beginning of the track, then it never raise up during playback until the start of the new one. This is like reading from RAM disk from the squeezelite point of view. The only issue I have is that the Music Magic Server takes 2 minutes to start up and I have no idea why. I delay the startup of LMS to ensure that it starts after MusicIP.
