Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] C-3PO plugin, a trnscoding helper.
Hi Marco, Not sure you remember me but I just wanted to send my deep appreciation of the improvements you brought into the C-3CPO. I can now add all my equalizer settings in one go (the text size is significantly longer) - thanks for that. It definitely helps a lot. Also, many small changes make your plugin a fantastic sound adjuster with a lot of flexibility. Wanted to ask you: 1. When I set the loudness gain higher or lower than zero, the volume is higher. Is this normal? (I have set it at zero as I am using the equalizer and the volume attenuation is at 6). 2. Have you ever managed to work with OSS drivers through squeezebox (with Alsa to OSS emulation)? I have a Vortexbox and installed Daphile which sounds best for me using the LMS player. I just don't know how to get the OSS driver installed (found the driver in Gentoo resources which is Daphile's OS). Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.2 Probable Playlist Handling Bug
Would you mind sharing that file? What format did you use? Some text editor would leave a "byte order mark" (BOM) at the beginning of the file. This could probably confuse the parsing. Please check your editor's settings whether this can be disabled. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] New station stream using wostreaming.net only plays for 70 seconds
Hi all, Gotten great info hear to keep my Squeezebox boom operating over the long haul (purchased new back in the late 2000's). A station I stream frequently has just changed to a new streaming provider (WATD-FM). They are an independent station not corporately owned. Looking at my web browser debugger I came up with a URL for wostreaming. Will post the URL in a follow up as the site won't let me post a URL in my first post. Also tried a few variations of the above which work with the same issue. With the first URL, the Squeezebox plays for about 70 seconds then stops. When watched in the LMS web view the play length bar counts down 10 seconds then repeats 6 more times (7x or 70 seconds total) - so it basically show that it is playing something 10 seconds long with the completion bar moving from left to right counting down the 10 seconds. Other streams working correctly this bar doesn't move and the elapsed time just keeps counting up for as long as it is playing. When playing thru the browser with the debugger on (network view), that first URL is periodically resent and stream just goes forever. Maybe this is normal behavior with other stream types, though. Any ideas how I can get this working correctly on the Squeezebox? I'm running LMS 7.9.2 (was running 7.9.0, had the issue and upgraded with same result). This is on Windows 10 with a Squeezebox Boom and also using SoftSqueeze on Win10 for testing. I stated that I did that earlier in this thread: Ok, thanks. I've opened the m3u files using TextPad. The path to the tracks within the Playlists is different than where the Playlists are now located. Apparently I didn't copy them back to the same place. HOWEVER, I OPENED A COUPLE OF THE M3U FILES AND EDITED THE PATH TO THE CORRECT DRIVE LETTER AND THEY STILL SHOW AS EMPTY WHEN I TRY TO PLAY THEM WITHIN LMS. Also, the m3u files that are not working show the path like this: #EXTINF:-1, Cuddle Up A Little Closer E:\Music\... However, when i create new playlist that do work it shows this: #EXTURL:file:///F:/Music.. tdehan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65180 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111382 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I do very simple playlists that allow me to move my whole library with all my playlists between both drives and or platforms. I use relative file locations in my playlists and place them in my root music folder. Relative means basically "relative from where the playlist is located". So let's say my music is all in "D:\Music" and I want a playlist for the "Medley" from "The Beatles" - "Abbey Road" album. I put the playlist in "D:\Music" in this form; The Beatles\Abbey Road\08 Because.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\09 You Never Give Me Your Money.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\10 Sun King.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\11 Mean Mr Mustard.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\12 Polythene Pam.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\13 She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\14 Golden Slumbers.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\15 Carry That Weight.mp3 The Beatles\Abbey Road\16 The End.mp3 Using this method I can move the folder "D:\Music" to my "E:" drive and the playlist will still work without having to modify it. I can also copy my music folder to my android phones' MicroSD card and the playlist still works without modification. I've also found that using the relative file location method for M3U playlists with the playlists in my root "/Music/" folder I do not have the duplicate problem that I've seen complaints about in these forums when playlists are in the main music library folder. Thanks Michael. I took a look at the Event Viewer - and got lost pretty quickly - I couldn't find any specific event relating to the squeezebox of LMS - and least noted as such. That may be too specific for Windows or Windows may id an event another way. I'm not aware of a specific fix for this issue, but there where several 'CVE patches applied in Aug 2017' (https://github.com/ralph-irving/faad2/commit/80b2a822794894fe41d4ae7caa9f708c458c2a3c) that would not be included in the LMS binary. Unfortunately, I was lazy and applied them all together. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Playlists are all empty
Ok, thanks. Also, the m3u files that are not working show the path like this: #EXTINF:-1, Cuddle Up A Little Closer *E:\Music\*... However, when i create new playlist that do work it shows this: *#EXTURL:file:///F:/Music*.. tdehan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65180 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111382 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problem getting m4a to play (trancoded?) on Transporter
The faad which has a build date of Apr 6 2017 - which is distributed as part of LMS 8.* - hangs If I take a copy of faad and build from Ralphys github (who maintains LMS tools such as faad) - no problem. Could be the issue has been found but the fix has not been distributed for some reason. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111719 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS on Raspberri PI
Cheers, Gary - thanks for your help. I guess it dawned on me later that, although (through my television/PS3 player), I would click on "Logitech Media Server" to access the video folders on the NAS, that it didn't necessarily mean that LMS was serving up the videos, just providing me access to the folders. [???] Thanks again! garym wrote: > If you run LMS On rPi (with piCorePlayer), then you can install the > spotty plugin in LMS and play Spotify to all your squeezebox players > (radios, touch, or any other squeezebox players). OK got the file and interesting the "mp4info" command works OK on the fixed version so perhaps the message is pointing to the specific problem which is breaking faad. Last year I looked at this issue or something very similar in faad and but it was hard going but I didn't have time to locate the issue just that video track was the "source". I had only one bad sample and it looks like I was mistaken about the real problem. However with a good and bad example I can probably find the issue. Since iTunes provided the file, it would be good to fix it once and for all as there'll be other incidences.
