For the time being, I did spin up an Icecast server using VB-Cable last night, streaming my living room's audio. Today I discovered that my office firewall won't let me do anything on non-standard ports! I went to the Icecast directory and none of the listed streams with a port specified would play at all. I'll have to give it another go with port 80 as my house's incoming. mafyou's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112747 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Maybe something's missing in a download somewhere, somehow. Anyway, the SSB is working with most of the stations I want, and I can access the music on the Mac, so maybe I should be grateful for that after all this time, and call it quits. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotty fails to get credentials
Thank you for your reply. Which program might my router be blocking? I wondered about this, but without further specific details my ISP say they cannot help. Make sure you can use port 4070 (outgoing only!) -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

d6jg wrote: > Slarti > I wasnÂt really aiming that at you. It was intended for the OP of the > sub thread. Sorry. I like to use DSTM with last mix, but sometimes I just would like to listen to some genres of my own collection. Of course it is possible to exclude and include genres in the random mix settings, but the random mix settings are globally for all players and it is just easier to use the Shortcuts of random playlists.. Now as we found out, that adding the custom random playlist to an existing playlist does exactly what I want, it queues one song after another, only including my own music. And if I want to use the random seed for Spotify for example, I just play the random playlist, not adding it. Thank you for everyone helping me to find out about this. This gives me a convenient and very flexible way to use it the way I like it. LMS and this community here rules! Thank you all!
