Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.2.0 released
Hi, Not sure where I should ask but I try here first since I think my issue is LMS related and also curios if the new mono features in LMS 8.2 perhaps solve this issue? Ok first I've to admit, I'm not running LMS 8.2 so excuse me if this is an issue when posting here. I'm on LMS 8.1.2 and wanted to test the "output channel mode" feature with two Pcp V7.0 players but after much fiddling about it's clear that it doesn't work as long as a PcP player is involved. When I tested with two SqB Touch it works fine. Then I also tested with one Touch and another Pcp which also didn't work. So my conclusion is that there is a problem with this feature when running a Pcp player. Why is this? And is it known problem? If so, would an upgrade to 8.2 solve it? To make it clearer, what I mean with not working is that when I set Pcp #1 as Left channel and Pcp #2 as Right and activate sync both players are still in stereo mode. And as said, same setup with two Touch works just fine, e.g they play in mono. doggod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114928 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Saved Playlists Not Playing All Items; show "cur" not "flc"
Hey Robb, thanks, I was thinking similar. As a test last night on some content in one of the problem playlists, I renamed the respective .cue files for two albums to .cuex. I haven't tried recreating the playlists yet, though. This didn't resolve the playback issue - LMS skips over those tracks. It looks like the only tracks that still work are those that were added singularly, not as an album "add to playilst". I imagine this operation (from Orange Squeeze) pulled the info from the .cue files in those album directories. I'll try this again to rebuild a test playlist with the renamed .cue files to see how it pulls in. I do have .m3u files in these folders as well. Thanks for the lead. This should help moving forward, but I'd like to understand why this stopped working. I have quite a few playlists and would prefer not to recreate, or find a way to quickly repair them in a text editor. msg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63774 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115141 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

This is just a guess on my part: you may need to recreate the problem playlists. Just yesterday, I found that tracks in a certain album were appearing twice in My Music, once as "cur" files and once as "flc". Looking in the directory, I found both a cue file and an m3u playlist, even though I thought I had purged those files from my library some time ago. I renamed those files to filename.cue.txt and filename.m3u.txt. After a full rescan, the cur files no longer appear in My Music. But my guess is that if they had been saved in a playlist, the playlist would still point to the cur files. Again, that's only a guess. Good luck! LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. AFAICT you have added a "R" to the IFRD. The R implies - rule is to be used to playing remote URLs. Have you tested this out with a remote URL - probably a OGG/Vorbis since ogg/flac is ogf It's possible that LMS is handling remote OGG stream and so "I" stdin will be used but if not then I think sox cannot handle URls as input. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115133 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Ogg not playing as expected using Inguz EQ
This works - EDIT IN PLUGIN.PM (24-BIT FLAC SECTION): Code: ogg flc * $CLIENTID$ # IFRD:{RESAMPLE=-r %d} [sox] -t ogg $FILE$ -t wav $RESAMPLE$ - | [$CONVAPP$] -id "$CLIENTID$" -wav -wavo -d 24 | [flac] -cs -0 --totally-silent - Because Inguz automatically generates its own custom-config.conf with sections for each connected player, you need to edit this in the plugin.pm file, delete the custom-config.conf file in the Inguz plugin folder, and restart your server. A new custom-config.conf will be created. To be safe, make "LAST GOOD" backups of any files you edit/delete. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.2.0 released
Loading of a list of podcast episodes worked flawlessly and quickly before upgrading LMS to 8.2.0, the list was loaded almost immediately. Therefore, wouldn't be possible to enable / restore the previous loading algorithm (for “-'pre-caching' the podcast image and 'info' data-”) as an option in the Podcasts plugin settings? When there's a new problem/challenge, then it should be fixed. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.2.0 released
The scheduler might be a possibility, although my POC doesn't use it. I'll look into Async::Util::amap(), of which I was previously unaware... I added it in 8.0. I was looking for something like the popular async JS library. One issue to address is that the requests are initiated each time one drives into the Podcast feed menu. So some kind of state needs to be held, i.e. "Don't go and fetch this one, because we've already fired off a fetch during the last podcast browse session." The result of the requests is being cached. Therefore each of them should only be run once a day at max. Unless there's a bug somewhere. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
