Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] QLogitechMediaServer for Qnap with QTS 4.2 or higher and x86_64/I686/X86 support !

2022-01-06 Thread rienm

I am in my qnap nas as admin, within the root file; when I give a
command as mentioned at fi page 84, fi ./QlogitechMediaServer.sh status
I get the message -sh /QlogitechMediaServer.sh No such file or
directory

I don’t understand….

Did you ever get this problem fixed? If so, what was the resolution?

When I asked Digimaster december 28, I was not familiar with SSH clients
(like PuTTY) at all. After his answer I spend about 2 to 3 mornings to
learn how solve installation problems of QLogitechMediaServer and how to
use a SSH Client by reading this complete thread of 92 pages. And

This thread is very complete. I'm not an IT-guy. So why would you not be
successfull ;-)

Alternative, quick and plug & play solution: buy Heos (Home Speakers or
Marantz PM7000n). IMHO better sound than Sonos.

complicated for me.. And yes, I installed the last version from

Suggestion:
1) Allready installed the latest QTS Firmware on your NAS?

2) Download and install Putty on your laptop/PC and connect through SSH
with your Nas via NAS-IP and port 22
Start Putty with User: admin and Pasword = MAC Adres without
hyphens. 00-1B-44-11-3A-B7 becomes 001B44113AB7 (Case sensitive!)
You can find the MAC adres of your NAS on the sticker ath the back
of on your NAS or use QFinder Pro
- See YouTube for Putty Tutorials-

3) Quit the menu

4) Do -Case sensitive!-
cd .. > [Enter]
cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer [Enter]
./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart [Enter]

Now look at messages that appear. Could be that LMS is on a other
port than 9001

Alternative of step 4 is
4a) cd .. > [Enter]
cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer [Enter]
tail QLogitechMediaServer.log [Enter]

Now look in the log which portnumber is mentioned

I just updated Qlogitechmediaserver to…25. Same as Freek had. I really
do not know how to find the QlogitechMediaServer.log but I tried ports
9001 to 9011… no result. Please help me, I am just a user. What can I do

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Anyone running LMS on Windows 11?

2022-01-06 Thread Michael Herger

Yes, I've had LMS on my Windows 11 PC for some months now with no
problems.

Excellent! I just failed to update my Windows 10 VM...

It does however say this in Settings/Information

Operating system: Windows 10 - EN - cp1252

That's what I expected, unfortunately. I committed a small change trying
to identify Windows 11 correctly. But it's 8.3 only so far... but if you
wanted to give it a try, binaries should be available shortly.

Try removing your bash, sh, perl items in the Security & Privacy lists,
and then re-add them. I think the security mechanism checks more than
just the file’s pathname. I’m not clear on the details, but I’ve had to
do this previously after a significant update.

Yup.

Code:

  [iMacius-Grandius] $ /usr/bin/perl convert.pl keepass2
/Volumes/Media/keepass2_export.xml
  [iMacius-Grandius] $ /usr/bin/perl5.18 convert.pl keepass2

  [iMacius-Grandius] $ /usr/bin/perl5.30 convert.pl keepass2
/Volumes/Media/keepass2_export.xml
  [iMacius-Grandius] $ /opt/local/bin/perl convert.pl keepass2
/Volumes/Media/keepass2_export.xml

Monterey, 12.1, Intel.

On a side note, why a 100W and 24V powersupply for an rpi, digi and a

does the all-black SB sound better than the white SB?
