Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Is 8.3.0 stable version of LMS ?
Might it be a good idea to define some intermittent 8.3 versions as “release candidates” and make it an option in the settings to check for and download those? I'll probably do a release pretty soon. LMS 8.2 would no longer run on the latest macOS, and 8.3 has been pretty stable for a while. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I normally just await the update message in the LMS interface since manually updating on the Debian server requires a little mental laboring for me Might it be a good idea to define some intermittent 8.3 versions as release candidates and make it an option in the settings to check for and download those? Apologies if I'm overlooking something, but as far as I can tell, you have not done what Ronnie suggested in post #44: Code: How about; make a clean install of LMS on either a clean SD card or another computer. If a SD card, install only LMS, nothing else. When you log into this LMS for the first time, fill in your mysqueezebox.com credentials on the first page, skip everything else. Do not add any Plugins On the LMS GUI Home page, with a player selected, Go to Extras > Music Source > and select mysqueezebox.com. see what happens In other words, address the mysqueezebox.com issue without any plugins added. Once that's resolved, started adding your plugins, one by one. Restart LMS and check mysqueezebox after each one. Usually running latest beta LMS nightly on Raspberry Pi OS with virtual players (Squeezelite and Airplay bridge). Occasionally using SB Radio, Boom or Classic. No I don't have repeat track selected. And even with repeat track it would still move to the next track when "next" is used. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS not going to next track in playlist
Since a few weeks I have a weird issue with LMS that only shows up when playing music with my two hardware players (Squeezebox Boom and Touch), but not with any software players (Squeezelite on Windows, Squeezeplayer on Android and Chromecast emulators). The issue is that when I start playing music by for instance starting an album, the music starts playing but keeps on playing only the first song. Pressing "next" on the remote or on the webinterface controlling the server, will also restart the first song. Only if I pause the music first, than hitting "next" will progress to the next song in the. As I said, this only happens when playing on the Boom and Touch hardware players. Regardless of whether I am playing my own locally stored music, or stream from Spotify using Spotty. What is also weird is that this happened right after I returned from vacation a few weeks ago. The server (Ubuntu 22.04) was switched of for three weeks so there were a lot of updates to be run when I switched it on. But LMS is not updated automatically so that was the same version I used before I switched of the server to go on vacation. I upgraded the server to Ubuntu 22.04 in August but did not have this problem at that time. Does anyone recognize this problem and how to fix it? I have been googling and looking at the forum but it does not seem to be a widespread problem. All tips are greatly appreciated! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] USB thumbdrive
@dmozell You could, if you wish, and at your own risk, of cousre, run a fsck or chkdisk on the usb stick. Do a little research first :) Turning the rpi of in the proper manner may help reduce the chance of corruption but is always a good idea imo :) ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116918 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
