Thanks, I understand what you're saying. Since I am no experienced Docker / Linux user (and not quite sure about my capabilities here) I guess this would mean having to re-configure this container? This is why I currently update the docker container using Portainer to re-create it to the latest version. I wonder if this means it will automatically update to 8.2.0 if that becomes the latest stable version. I guess so but I'll have to wait I guess. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Hide @EADIR in LMS Docker (regex in Ignore Files and Folders?)
I am very happy with LMS running in Docker on my Synology NAS. It runs flawlessly! So massive thanks to all involved!! Now I am looking for a way to hide the @eadir folders on the NAS in the listings in LMS. The Ignore Files And Folders plugin can do that using a regular expression (it even mentions @eadir as an example), but can anyone tell this regex noob what expression to use in the regex field? I have tried some but the regex syntax is beyond my comprehension. Any help is appreciated! [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS stopped working on Synology after PERL update
My LMS stopped working today on my Synology NAS DS218+. It's still there but it does not start. PERL is updated to 5.28.3.-0077, and specifically mentions that LMS is EOL and will fail to start. So I want to try to downgrade PERL to the previous version and block automatic updates. But I cannot find the Synology PERL packages with older versions. So: What is the best way to downgrade PERL to the latest-1 version? Anyone knows where to find earlier PERL packages? All help is appreciated, the LMS is the main application on my NAS (together with PLEX). BTW - I tried installing LMS in docker but did not manage to get it working. It seemed to install fine but I could not get a connection to the music folders. Hope the docker versions will be getting attention since all Synology users will run into this problem now or soon. Well maybe I should prepare for this RPI route too. But I don't have very high expectations about how the RPi can handle a database of 100K tracks... My setup is also fairly basic - but I recently found out that I am very fond of the three plugins for Spotify, MixCloud and Bandcamp.. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Updating LMS package on Synology to v 8.0? Is it safe?
Since Synology, unfortunately, stopped their support for the Logitech Media Server on their NAS (like my DS218+), I'm considering to upgrade the package to the version found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsupdate/files/DSM6.x/ But I'm hesitant to upload this package: how can I roll back to the existing package is anything fails? I see no option to backup / export the original 7.9.2.package (Hyper Backup backup the data folders, application but not the packages?). Since Synology removed the package from the Beta section I will probably not be able to install it again... So I have two questions: - is it safe to simply upload the 8.0.0 x86_64 package to the Synology NAS; will it overwrite the existing package or create a new one? - what's the best way to 'roll-back' (is there a way to export or backup a single package)? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] mappings in docker container are all empty?
I am currently trying to get the lms docker container running on my Synology DS218+, following the setup on https://hub.docker.com/r/lmscommunity/logitechmediaserver. There's one thing I cannot get to work: the mappings to the media files... (minor detail, duh.. :-) ) I need two mappings, one to the /Volume1/Music (shared folder with the music files), and another to /Volume1/homes/[myname]/Drive/New Music (where I store all the incoming files that are not yet moved to music). The /media folder is visible in the settings page, but it does not seem to find any music in the subdirectories. So the database remains empty. Has anyone managed to get the docker container, successfully running? If so, any tips on configuring the music folder? Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Plugins gone + no 'third party plugins' checkbox
Sorry for another question, this is quite complex material for me. I have downloaded the x86_64 package from the other thread mentioned above. Can I simply update the existing package with this v8.0 by uploading the *.spk package to my DSM 218+? I'm hesitant to do that because when it does not work I'm afraid I cannot revert to the existing (beta) package since it is not available anymore to reinstall. (And I cannot find a way to safely export existing packages to re-use later) Installing the docker lms package seems to be a good alternative but this is somewhat beyond my capabilities to configure :( SlimPvC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113450 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
Hi Michael Yes, I disabled scobbling in LMS. But, as expected: it stopped scrobbling Same for me... I always used the 'nightlies' and never experiences any problem. Still I have the feeling that the 'double scrobbles' started with 7.9.2. I did not install any other 3rd party scrobbler, at least not as far as I know. The other scrobbling programs on the desktop I run LMS on (such as Spotify, Dopamine player etc) are not running when I play my music on the SB Touch. There definitely must have changed something on my setup but I really have no clue on what possibly causes this. So I guess it's an unexplained glitch, possibly due to installing a beta nightly version who knows Paul Webster wrote: > You might have missed my edit earlier. > > Do (did) you have SqueezeScrobbler enabled (as well as Last.fm > Audioscrobbler)? > > Seeing different patterns for the artist name in the 2 scrobbles could > well mean that there were 2 different implementations doing the > scrobbling. It's even getting weirder: when I set the log setting to 'debug' the problem seems to disappear. Bit it's back again when I lower the level. Also I noticed that there was a different behaviour when there are different tags for Artist and Album Artist: 26875 I decided to completely remove the LMS installation and reinstall it from scratch. Seems to have helped indeed, but it's a bit early to conclude perhaps. Thanks for thinking along and helping, by the way! +---+ |Filename: susanna doubles.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26875| +---+ SlimPvC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110238 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
That is indeed what it SHOULD be, but this should not result in definitive double scrobbles (image below). So there are actually three submission moments: the first is now playing (I can also see that on last.fm), but after refreshing TWO definiteve scrobbles on last.fm (below). If no one else experiences this behaviour it must be something in my setup with the Squeezebox Touch. Plays on my PC are scrobbled correctly. 26873 Paul Webster wrote: > I think that the first one is a "Now Playing" and the second is the > actual scrobble. > > If you watch refresh your profile page on Last.fm you should see it > showing what you are listening to as the track starts .. but that is not > the scrobble. +---+ |Filename: ds.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26873| +---+ SlimPvC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110238 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
This is a log example.. Don't really know how to read this, but it looks to me as if the track is scrobbled when half of it is played AND when it is finished. (instead of .OR.). Still got no clue how to solve this. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
Now it even gets weirder: When I set the audioscrobbler log setting to 'debug'... the problem stops completely.. No more double scrobbles and also no remarkable log entries.. As soon as I set it back to a lower level the double scrobbles start re-appearing... 26867 +---+ |Filename: ds.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26867| +---+ SlimPvC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110238 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
Ahh oops, it's in the server log... (I was looking for a specific audioscrobbler log). Thanks. Will keep it posted here when I find something (and probably also when I don't ;-)) Paul Webster wrote: > Settings/Information ... at the bottom SlimPvC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110238 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
OK, sorry but here's the inevitable noob question: where is the log file output stored? I've set the audioscrobbler log setting to 'debug' but I see no output in C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Logs Paul Webster wrote: > Logging might show something > Settings/Advanced/Logging/plugin.audioscrobbler > and increase the logging level. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Double Scrobbles
I don't know what has changed, but recently I found out that all tracks I play via LMS / Squeezebox Touch are scrobbled twice on last.fm. This was not the case earlier. On searching online, I only found references to double scrobbles in Spotify, but this does not concern spotify plays, these are streamed from a local collection. (I have Spotty plugin installed but there are no last.fm settings in there) I have upgraded to the last LMS version, 7.9.2, and re-installed the last.fm plugin, but unfortunately this does not help. There are only two places to activate scrobbling in LMS: in the plugin settings and for eacht individual player. I have no clue where to look for the solution for this. Would appreciate any help!
