[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] WAV, LMS and transcoding to FLAC or not?
Hello Did a search, but keywords very common and can't find anything. Have a mate that begun to use LMS with a SoTM streamer. He prefers to use WAV files. Anyone know from the top of their head how to check how the WAVs are sent on the network and how to configure to send them as WAVs? Seems unnecessary to transcode to FLAC on the server to transcode back to WAV in SoTM. Thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Moving LMS to new hardware
A couple of questions while navigating in the confusing world of linux or whatever: 1. Is it possible to get CACHEDEV1_DATA back instead of CACHEDEV2_DATA? CACHEDEV1_DATA is there but has just one folder with a file in it. No idea why. Is it possible to rename it in situ? 2. server_uuid: 3c2e2a53-eaa3-4c8e-92d7-4020d46ec685 Do I delete ALL instance of server_uuid? (there are two) Do I delete "server_uuid: 3c2e2a53-eaa3-4c8e-92d7-4020d46ec685" or just the "3c2e2a53-eaa3-4c8e-92d7-4020d46ec685" I deleted the entire row "server_uuid: and left the time server_uuid row alone. The server doesn't start prob because of the references to CACHEDEV1_DATA instead of CACHEDEV2_DATA... And QNAP doesn't show the files, of course. For instance the default LMS plugin location on my is /share/Logitech Media Server/SlimServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ while it is /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/Plugins/ in the Inguz documentation This goes for many locations and directories in the Inguz installation. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] A peculiar error with several albums having the same cover, album and song name
I have used LMS for over ten years, but this is a new one and I just discovered it and it must have happened in the past days. I noticed that song 4 on Pipers of the Gates of Dawn was appearing often in random play and realised that all Pink Floyd albums except one had the same cover, song and album name (as above). The file name is OK, it refers to the right song and album. I scrolled through the album list under My music and discovered several other albums in a row that had "taken over" by another album. I checked with MP3TAG and the album pic had been changed in the tags. How come? And I have used the album pics search in Material several times before and nothing happened AFAIK. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Port trunking on QNAP NAS and LMS?
Used port trunking to increase the speed when backing up my data to my QNAP NAS (TS-251) with QTS 4.4.1.1216. I use static IP-addresses for the adapters and changed one address to be able to use it as a static port trunking address. The first day (no restart) it all worked well with LMS. Today, after restart (I turn off the NAS during the night) both a Boom and a Touch started stuttering with the Radio Paradise FLAC stream Less with streams with lower speeds. Local files played smoothly. Have I missed a setting somewhere? Got 7.9.0 in a container on a QNAP NAS, want to install the "proper" app as per other thread in this forum. Is there a way to transfer all the settings in my old LMS to the new one I want to install, wtihout going through the tedious process of repeating all setting again?
