Code never 'materialises'. It needs always somebody to write it.
If you can't do it, find someone who does it for you.

It is not a feature that I miss. So be aware that your needs may be only
yours...

So I got my answer. There is a requirement of a improved Web-UI.
Alright. So a new thread with some initial ideas should be started.
But in lag of web-coding skills I'm not the right one to do this...

And to prove that your rant is just stupid follow the link:
https://code.google.com/p/extgui4lms/ .
You are just not able to look in the plugin-section of your LMS but
crying around that the web-interface is so bad...
Get your shit done...

The Reason for all of this is simple: Logitech has dumped the product a
few years ago.
But the LMS aka squeezebox-server is open source and has a API. How do
you think that all the plugins work?
Also there are a big amount of 3rd-party-controller-apps for android,
IOS and also Win8.1 to 10. Using them will give you a smoove controlle
of playlists and stuff.
Don't get me wrong, but you didn't do your homework.
Michael Herger is one of the last developers of the LMS who is original
from Logitech and he works a lot to improve the system. With a great
success.
But one Point is right: The web-interface of the LMS is old but it runs
acceptable on tiny hardware like an RaspberryPi or Odroid, because there
is not much eye-candy.
There is an alternative web-interface installable per plugin. It looks
nice, but rocks the hell out of tiny, light-weight hardware.
I think one of the reasons that the web-interface was never been touched
is that the most users will controll the system via controller-app on a
smartphone, tablet and/or since Win8.1 on their Computer. Implementing
a all-new super glossy eye-candy web-interface will be much work for a
really small benefit. It would be new and shiny, but low power hardware
will suffer from that. Also I think its not the common use.
Always remember: This is now a open source project and will not longer
need much customer or work as a capitalism product do. There will be
many good improvements (also there were), but only if someone has the
need to do it.
But it's up to you. Get the docu and the source and build your own
enlighted web-interface.
Just a derpy rant won't change anything...

Greetings
