I found spotty in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins, moved it out of the way, and the server works again. Trying to move it back into place doesn't work and I noticed it's gone from https://www.mysqueezebox.com/appgallery. My desktop developed some issues. It had been running ubuntu 16.10 and logitechmediaserver with now problems. I had to reinstall the os so I figured I'd move to 17.10.
