I've not finished the setup, but this how to for a BlueIris camera interface on HA has all the right steps for doing the same for LMS https://community.home-assistant.io/t/integrating-blue-iris-into-home-assistant/125651 s2kiwi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63950 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112428 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Accessing LMS over Https?
I am the author of the MediaServer and LMS-lite Alexa skills which also need to be able to access LMS via https (with added authentication). The help page at https://smartskills.tech/squeezesetup/index.html describes the use of ngrok as a proxying means (used by almost all my skill users). With ngrok there's no need for messing with certs or opening router ports so it may be an easy fit. If you'd prefer to use nginx or apache there's also a section on configuring that. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112428 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Accessing LMS over Https?
I suspect that the easiest way would be to run a reverse proxy such as Nginx in front of LMS. A well established one with easy to use tooling that handles certificate renewal via Lets Encrypt would probably also be good. If you take a look at the various techniques that have been used to make LMS accessible by Amazon Alexa / Google Home / IFTTT you should get some good ideas. On a more general point ... if you are thinking of making your LMS accessible from outside you LAN then you should also consider how to protect it from being accessed by bad things as well. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Accessing LMS over Https?
Just wondering if anyone knows how to set up LMS to be accessible over https: rather than just http:? I'm trying to include the UI as part of a Home Assistant dashboard, but need it to be https to be accessable. I'm running the latest version on a fedora base, but can switch to anything needed if anyone has any pointers on where to start. Is there an easy way, or do I need to up-skill myself on installing something like openSSL to make this work? Any guidance or advise appreciated. s2kiwi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63950 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112428 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
