This is probably going to be a Michael question:
Changes to LMS that Blocks DDNS Remote Access to ones Local Settings
Page is impacting how certain users use LMS and Squeezebox remotely. Is
there a means possible to place this Blocking feature in LMS "Settings"
with a default setting of ON so that people not needing it to be OFF are
protected, yet those that choose to and need to turn it off can?
I am speaking about the updates added to recent 7.9.1 distributions:
"And security:
Update IO::Socket::SSL on Windows to improve compatibility with newer
SSL standards.
Improve support for SSL protected communication. Use https to log in to
mysqueezebox.com if possible.
-BLOCK ACCESS TO SETTINGS PAGES FROM OUTSIDE THE LOCAL NETWORK.-
Fix several XSS vulnerabilities in the web UI."
Anybody have ideas of local user workaround? Is this Possible, Thoughts,
Ideas?
