Hello Pinkdot, thanks for your reply. It was a misunderstanding from my side because I thought that the upgrade from Synology for Perl was the one for the newest version 5.26, but it is just a fix for version 5.24. Everything runs fine after the upgrade. But I will give the Raspberry Pi a try because my old D213+ is not the fastest LMS server. 'Synology released perl 5.24 a few month ago.'
(https://www.synology.com/en-us/releaseNote/Perl) So I don't think you
will see 5.26 coming soon to your DS officially. LMS (including the
beta) will stick to 5.24.

Hello, I have installed the latest LMS Version 7.9.1 of the beta channel from Synology (LogitechMediaServer-ppc-7.9.1-166.spk) for my NAS DS 213+ which is PowerPC based . Everything works fine but I need to upgrade my Perl Version to 5.26 within my NAS as there are dependancies with other Software products I am running on the NAS. I have seen that this LMS version does not support Perl 5.26 which means that LMS will not function anymore on the NAS if I upgrade to Perl 5.26. Do I have to move the LMS to an external Raspberry PI or are there any changes possible with the Synology beta channel? Thanks for your help!
