I guess you disabled it in something like
/etc/defaults/logitechmediaserver or the like. Or in the init script.
Just grep for --nomysqueezebox

Truly stupid question, I know, but... Where do I enable it?

Still no official spotify plugin.

Go to Settings/Advanced/Logging, check the "keep settings for restart"
or similar box, set server.plugins to debug, save. Then restart your LMS
and provide your server.log.

Reinstalled LMS (7.9.0 - 1484464959 @ Sun Jan 15 07:33:01 UTC 2017).
Still no official spotify plugin.

In server.log, I see this:

[17-01-20 11:51:51.0987]
Plugins::SpotifyProtocolHandler::Plugin::postinitPlugin (34) The
official Logitech Squeezebox Spotify plugin should be enabled, or some
functionality might be limited.

Apologies for being unclear - it is nowhere. Not in active, not in
inactive, not in 3rd party. It was in active plugins until the power
outage forced a reboot of my server.

The official Spotify plugin would be under Active or Inactive plugins,
*not* 3rd party.

I thought you need a mysbc account for running the spotify app. You can
of course listen via LMS as I do. But I'm quite sure not without to
login into Spotify via mysbc.

I don't use mysbc, just a local LMS.

To update switch on the Notification in WebInterface. As soon as you get
the notification and when you click on it, you'll get to a page where
the appropriate command line can be found.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Spotify disappeared

2017-01-17 Thread Julf

Had a major power outage this morning, but pretty much everything came
back - except that suddenly Spotify is gone after the reboot! :(

I am on Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, LMS is 7.9.0 from February 2016 (what is the
easiest way to upgrade?), and Spotify Protocol Handler v1.1.1 is
installed.
