Squeezy, a CLI 1/3 party control utility can sort that out I think. Specifically it has a notion of "group" that can be used to send commands to all players in that group in one go. A group has nothing to do with sync, it reflects preferences in a config file. Maybe a hack... isnt there a setting that controls whether a player starts up powered on or off? Is there a way to force a particular player in a sync group to always be the leader of the group? I ask because it seems that a server reboot causes individual players to reload their last individual playlists and it depends which one you hit play on as to what the group then plays as opposed to the last "synced" playlist which seems to exist in Prefs only in the leader of the group.
