Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Unscheduled partial library rescan issue after upgrading to 8.0.0

2020-11-30 Thread Michael Herger

Ok so which is the most stable? Sticking with 8.0.0 and disabling the
plugin or upgrading to a 8.0.1 nightly?

If after disabling the plugin 8.0.0 is good enough, stick with it. 8.0.1
only has very few minor bug fixes (among which the changed default
behaviour for the online scan - which you've now disabled manually anyway).

Tx - I don't use the online services currently so have disabled the
plugin, and it seems to have sorted the rescan issue.
Maybe it should be disabled by default in a release version to help
avoid issues?
Also I must admit that I was assuming that 8.0.1 would be the release
version!

The issue should be addressed in the 8.0.1 nightly build.

I've no idea what's triggering it.

It's the Online Music Library Integration plugin. Please disable it, or
Deezer, unless you use one of them, of course.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Unscheduled partial library rescan issue after upgrading to 8.0.0

2020-11-29 Thread mr-b

Hi

I was on 7.9.3 and had an issue with player pausing so I thought I'd try
out 8.0.0 as I'd seen it had gone to release status. PiCP 6.0.1 upgraded
it to v8.0.0 - 1605892076 and then it did a full librray rescan.
Today a few tracks played Ok but this evening it did a partial rescan,
even though my library rescan timer is set for 7am. Then it started
again an hour later.
