Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Access PcP from Windows explorer
No special use case. I was just wondering why PcP did not appear anymore next to my NAS and other network drives. brewie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69925 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116112 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

It hasn't been established yet just what/which files/folders the OP wants to access. His music files are on a NAS which he can access. There's not been any mention of a USB drive/stick attached to the RPi, for which SAMBA would be required. The only thing we have is "I can't see nor access PcP anymore" which is fairly meaningless. :( *LMS server/study player - LMS 8.3.0 *Pi4B 4GB/NanoSound ONE case/pCP 8.1.0 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on Sata SSD (ntfs) *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 8.1.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > Topping E30 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Echo Show 8 *Garage* - Squeezebox Touch > Edifier *Spares* - 1xSB Radio, 1xSB3, 4xRPi, 1xDAC32, 1xCORE32 kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116112 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Hi brewie, If it was working for Windows 10 then you must have had SAMBA already loaded on pCP. In recent versions of Windows 10 (and I assume Windows 11) automatic display under networks stopped working. You need to map a drive or access via a \\192.168.1.xxx etc. This was discussed in detail in a recent thread. regards Greg Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116112 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Using it you can "share" part or perhaps all of your pCP system with a Windows computer. In FileExplorer you'd map a drive to the Samba share on your pCP install and then it'll look just like regular folders/files. Perhaps google can help you find the necessary information on setting up Samba. I have access to my NAS music folders and I can also access the PcP/LMS webpages. But I would like to access the folders on the PcP. At the moment I cannot access any files directly via the File Explorer. brewie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69925 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116112 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Access PcP from Windows explorer
I'm not clear what you're trying to do! If you're trying to access the music files folder on the NAS, you probably should do so directly from the Win11 machine. Or are you just trying to access the pCP web page?
