Have you disabled the firewall or created a rulle to let squeezeboxes connect ? *Players:* SliMP3,Squeezebox3 x3,Receiver,SqueezeLiteX,PiCorePlayer x3,Wandboard *Server:* LMS Version: Latest Nightly on Centos 7 VM on ESXi 6.5.0U1 on Dell T320 *Plugins:* AutoRescan/BBCiPlayer/PowerSave/PowerSwitchIII/Squeezecloud/Spotty/Player Groups *Remotes:* iPeng9/Orangesqueeze/PC/Jivelite/SqueezeLiteX *Music:* 522GB,1660 albums with 23087 songs by 5204 artists mostly FLACs *Want a webapp ?* See http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104305-Webapp-for-LMS Jeff07971's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=49290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109134 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Ah I see.. I have downloaded SoftSqueeze (http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net/download.html) for my Ubuntu laptop... and now Im trying to connect to my server but it hangs on "Please Wait, Connecting to Slim Server" So I think it is a server not found issue. But since the piCorePlayer CAN ping to the (LMS) server, it is not the case that they are on a different network.. so could it be a router problem?? Even though I like linux and command line work (and have done some work in it), I dont know how to check or set this correctly. Can you help maybe? zwep's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68208 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109134 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Player not found
Player(s) and lms server on the same network and server subnet ? Example ips like 192.168.0.x and 192.168.0.y 255.255.255.0 is common for a simple home network. The prerequisite ports are open 3483 udp/tcp for playerdiscovery etc and 9000 for the web-UI You may have to ise whatever tool your linux distro needs to make these firewall rules. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] "Player not found"
If-* slartibartfast*- router reset does not work, try this? Start the LMS running on the computer. On the Touch navigate to My Music, scroll down to (I think) Switch Libraries and select the Windows LMS, or, reset the SBT (press and hold the small button on the back, above the power inlet).
