[squid-users] Abnormal behaviour?
Hello All. I've started to use squid a few days ago. All work OK, but in some cases I see that, for example, trying to connect to www.google.com the requests lasts 10 seconds ! (I see it in the access.log) Of course, sometimes it's really quick, but in general my DSL connection is quick enough to get www.google.com in much less than 10 secons. It's not always that web. As I'm surfing, sometimes the request is served with very delay (10 or more seconds). Can you tell me if that's normal (and why happens) or if maybe I have something not configured OK? I supose I'm using internal, but I have the dns_nameservers commented, so it should use the ones in resolv.conf, isn't it? What does it mean internal dns ?? Does squid have a list of dns servers ? Sorry for the question, because I suposse it's very very simple, but I started using squid a few days ago and can't imagine what does internal dns mean. I though the resolv.conf (or dns_nameserver parameter) controlled the hosts where the computer searches for a IP, isn't it ? Hello. I've checked the directory and it's fully readable for the user. I'm using http transp. proxy with a virtual host. Is there any way I can log what's the URL squid tries to find for the error and get the 403 response? Thanks again, Carlos.
