Re: [SR-Users] Distributed Presence between Multiple Kamailios
Hi Juha, I would say the primary benefit for presence specifically, is that remote watchers are notified immediately - it does depend on the event type, I guess, as to just how important this is, but it can make a real difference in certain applications. Secondary benefits vary by use case but may include things like simplifying the stack and/or removing single points of failure, or allowing for horizontal scaling up/down on demand - all of which are benefits of dmq overall. Why do you ask? Re: [SR-Users] Distributed Presence between Multiple Kamailios
Also, you'll need to update the presentity DB table to include the new ruid column: https://www.kamailio.org/wiki/install/upgrade/stable-to-devel Cheers, Charles On 1 February 2018 at 07:47, Charles Chancewrote: > Hello, > > Presence module has a new integration with DMQ in master branch which does > exactly what you’re looking for. Re: [SR-Users] Distributed Presence between Multiple Kamailios
Hello, Presence module has a new integration with DMQ in master branch which does exactly what you’re looking for. It’s enabled by setting modparam “enable_dmq” and the rest takes care of itself: https://github.com/kamailio/kamailio/commit/3fc1da644a6b375fc45ea17cbcf81643f70db545 You’ll need to load the dmq module first and add the dmq_handle block to the start of your default route (see docs for more info).
