I just upgraded an application using struts 1.0.2 to use the latest 1.1-b2 version, and was a bit taken aback at how much longer it takes the application to run basic unit tests. I don't have the exact numbers on how long it used to take, but it's something like increasing from 48 to 73 seconds which is quite a bit.
Interestingly, I get a substantial performance boost when I upgraded from Tomcat 4.0.4 to 4.1.10.
