I'm surprised and mildly confused that it would update to an unsigned binary 
without complaining and making you click on a few dialogues...

But I'll admit that I don't understand at all how this is supposed to work 
exactly..

Hi all, i just see the 6.0.5053 version available from winget
  (Chocolatey rep) and it updated without any question (elevated
  privileges).
