[sugar] All GCompris activities available
I just completed the changes to make GCompris play nice on the XO. It's now easy to create an XO bundle of any GCompris activity, either in C or python. If there is already a translation in GCompris, you can just bundle the translation with it. As an example, I just created an English bundle of all our activities. You can download them individually from http://gcompris.net/incoming/xo/ The process to build an activity is documented there: http://gcompris.net/wiki/index.php/Todo_for_OLPC There are for sure still a lot of problems to solve. I won't search them because I don't know in all of these activities what is going to be used in the field. In order to go further, your feedback is welcome. -- Bruno Coudoin http://gcompris.net Free educational software for kids http://toulibre.org Logiciel Libre à Toulouse ___ Sugar mailing list Sugar@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/sugar

Re: [sugar] trac can't take attachments
Seems fine now. In general please file tickets for Trac issues so you don't run the risk of being lost in my inbox. --Noah Erik Blankinship wrote: *Trac detected an internal error:* OperationalError: database is locked ___ Sugar mailing list Sugar@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/sugar

I focused on getting the emulator UI running, but I'll definitely look into ways of running the activities as if there was an actual mesh. Any pointers are most welcome, I hope nm,avahi and dbus as they are in gutsy won't need messing around with for this. You need Avahi, and patched/branch versions of telepathy-gabble and telepathy-salut (for which you should coordinate with the Debian and Ubuntu Telepathy packagers, who're in #telepathy on Freenode). Link-local networking with Salut will work if you have avahi-daemon and you're on the same local LAN as the other guy, server-based networking with Gabble will work if you can see the Internet. Thanks. Talked to Guillaume on IRC as well and now with the olpc-trial3 branch of telepathy-salut packaged, two sugar-emulators running on the same machine can collaborate using the chat activity. The others (connect, memorize) while blinking in the toolbar when invited do not appear to share any data when running. connect and memorize work now that telepathy-gabble's darcs snapshot is packaged. In the other activities I did not see UI indications as to how they would be worked on collaboratively. Jani ___ Sugar mailing list Sugar@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/sugar

It would be interesting to see the logs for these... I found the reason for these: the modules turtle and ui which are respectively imported by turtleart and record have the same names as other python modules in the default path, turtle.py from python-tk and ui.py from a third party python application Jani ___ Sugar mailing list Sugar@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/sugar

I see the line for an icon for each activity. When you say 'add support for Sugar's Jounal' does this include support for sharing over the network?
