Re: [Sugar-devel] Big fonts in XOs in Sugar 0.102 (SL#4758)

2014-04-08 Thread Gonzalo Odiard
Sorry guys, is not a Sugar issue, the build mechanism (oob) is still
setting configs
in gconf. We need update it.

In the initial images to test Sugar 0.102 in the xos,
we found a very visible issue, all the fonts are bigger than normal.
I was a few hours today, trying to find what could change
to produce that, but without success.

I filled my findings in the ticket http://bugs.sugarlabs.org/ticket/4758

If anybody remember any change in sugar/toolkit/artwork
 related please tell me.

While the change to GSettings is suspicious all looks right.

 Thanks

Hi David,

thanks for the link.

Given that this page was last updated back in 2012 I'm wondering whether
anyone knows if the instructions are still up-to-date and working?

Cheers,
Christoph

In general this is still valid. Anaconda - the fedora installer has
changed but is still accessed from root terminal in the listview of f3 (
sugar-desktop and SoaS.) of F20 [1] and F21 (rawhide) [2] with liveinst'.

2014-04-08 Thread Martin Langhoff
Uff, that is fairly dated! I would install latest Fedora with the
Sugar Desktop Group as my first attempt. It won't be OLPC-pretty,
it'll expect users to log in with username/password, but other than
that it should work.

 Hi,

I think we need to make a really simple tutorial and put it on the
wiki home page. Just something with the link to the iso and lots of
 screenshots :)

I might have a go on the weekend.

Or maybe we could try to make and 'install' activity for soas?

Both very good ideas, to which I have been giving thought.

It would be good to fix a single method to document - my vote would be
for along the lines of [1]. It would be good to have comments on whether
this suits all.
