Introduction

Traffic simulations are of immense importance for researchers as well as
practitioners in the field of transportation. SUMO has been available since
2001 and provides a wide range of traffic planning and simulation
applications. SUMO consists of a suite of tools covering road network
imports and enrichment, demand generation and assignment, and a

These and other features make SUMO one of the most often used open source
traffic simulators with a large and international user community.
Call for Papers

The conference focuses on presenting new and unique results in the field of
mobility simulation and modeling using openly available tools and data. We
expect a large variety of research topics and usage approaches. If you are

Re: [sumo-user] Rerouting the vehicle due to lane blockage

2020-07-22 Thread Laura Bieker
Dear Anil,

for question 1: please have a look here:
https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/FAQ.html#how_to_simulate_an_accident

and for your 2: https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Demand/Automatic_Routing.html or
you can use TraCI to for rerouting
https://sumo.dlr.de/pydoc/traci._vehicle.html

If you use TraCI the changes are only during the runtime of the current
simulation and not permanent in the configuration files.

Best regards,
Laura

Re: [sumo-user] speedFactor does not change the speed and travel time

2020-07-22 Thread Laura Bieker
Dear Solmaz,

did you have a look in sumo-gui to check whether the vehicle are able to
drive with a higher speed for a short time or is there maybe a traffic
light or other vehicles blocking so that the travel time is not chaging?

Best regards,
Laura

Re: [sumo-user] Access vehicles that arrive in the next step

2020-07-22 Thread Laura Bieker
Hello Marcel,

you could use also use he function getDepartedIDList (
https://sumo.dlr.de/pydoc/traci._simulation.html#SimulationDomain-getDepartedIDList)
to receive the Vehicle IDs which were inserted into the simulation and
change then the parameter for these vehicles and maybe back if you only
want this for a specific period of time.

Best regards,
Laura

[sumo-user] SUMO user conference 2020: postponed to 26.-28.october

2020-03-16 Thread Laura Bieker
Dear users and friends,

Unfortunately, due to the current corona situation we decided to postpone
the SUMO user conference. We are very interested in networking with all
conference participants therefore we did not want to cancel the conference.
Please save the new date for the SUMO conference: 26.-28. October 2020.
At the moment we see no other option and we are very sorry for any
inconveniences.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the conference in Berlin this
autumn. Please take care of you!

Re: [sumo-user] change lane more naturally

2018-01-24 Thread Laura Bieker
Hello,

for a more continous lane changing behaviour you can use the sublane model (
http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/SublaneModel) or you can change the
duration of the lane change (this is decribed in detail here:
http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/SublaneModel#Simple_Continous_lane-change_model
).

Best regards,
Laura
