For absolutely no logical reason, I decided to write a
LISP program using progeCAD for an h-dial. It took a
day to learn LISP well enough to write this disaster,
I am not impressed with LISP.
However, it is on my web site in the free software
section:
www.illustratingshadows.com/index-free-software
and look for the Jan 4, 2008 date or for ProgeCAD.
I am completely disinterested in LISP. But this is a
working skeleton for anyone who is so interested.
It has one bug which I document, and needs an
enhancement, which I also comment on. And it is not
going to be me who does any more work on it. LISP is
not my kind of language.
Humph!

Sunny Day!
A little while ago I wrote about a CAD program that
was very similar to
AutoCAD but was available for free. A new version
was set to come out since
last spring. Well, it is available as of today.
You can get progeCAD Smart
at:
http://www.progesoft.com/compra/index.asp?left=prodotti/eng_progecad2008smartabspage=1lang=eng
Lots of new features and it looks like it also has
limited 3-D capabilities
too. I have installed it but have not worked with
it very much yet. It
will definitely have a steeper learning curve than
DeltaCad but there is no
comparison. The download is well over 80 Mb.
For all you DeltaCad fans there is a new web site
called the DeltaCad Users
Group that features a Forum. You may want to
participate. You will need to
register to access all parts of the Forum. You can
visit it at:

Happy Dialling!
