We do not violate the regulations; we do not provide pornographic services. If they want to take the line that we do, well, we'll deal with that when we come to it. BTW there is ~~ $0 in the paypal account; I just got sent $800, and that was all there was in the account. There is however a substantial sum in the bank, some of which will be sent to the project codefrog shortly. We may launch an appeal after releasing the simulation results formally in the coming days.. Quite interesting, albeit not fully informative (what is codefrog ? why codefrog and not another project? ). I'm doing my yearly small donation to the Freenet Project, but I'm still very disappointed by the non-public way the Project use to administer the money that receive. At the beginning the site had at least the running total of the PayPal donation, and from time to time in the donatio page itself, some news was given, as for example the good news of your full time job! Last year I wrote exactly the same thing, but received no answer; I would be pleased to see from time to time, news on the site ot maillist, about the way money is used. I'm quite sure that I'm not alone. For example, the Florence Linux User Group normally discuss in public how the (few) money is managed, and use a signed spreadsheet with income and expenses. Few minutes each month suffice to update this. On the main site I was unable to find the composition of the Freenet Board or any detail about the way money is used. The mission statement is not a detail, of course. Your mail is the first news I saw by longtime on this subject; I really cannot understand why a formally managed project give no details of the way his money is managed. A simple monthly mail sent to the maillist will be enought (IMHO, of course) In any case my donation will arrive shortly Ciao. Re: [freenet-support] freenet.conf empty
Well, really i don't know how to do what u say. Anyway, I solved the problem editing the start-freenet.sh script commenting lines 102-103, where it automatically run preconfig.sh (really don't understand what is the function of that script! it only deletes the conf) if it doesn't find the conf file: if test ! -f freenet.conf; then echo It appears that this is your first time running Freenet. You echo should read the README file as it contains important instructions echo and advice. echo echo First we must generate a freenet.conf file. I will now run echo Freenet in configure mode, and it will ask you a number of echo questions. If you don\'t understand the question, hitting enter echo without typing anything will go with the default which is likely echo to be the right thing. echo if test ! -f preconfig.sh; then if test -f scripts/preconfig.sh; then sh scripts/preconfig.sh else echo Could not find preconfig.sh or scripts/preconfig.sh exit 23 fi # else -- These 2 lines start preconfig.sh preventing # sh preconfig.sh -- me from configuring freenet fi java freenet.node.Main --config fi Anyway, thanks. daniele Niklas Bergh ha scritto: Try running the freenet jar with a '--config' parameter. [freenet-support] wget: a freenet trainer?
Hi! I red that freenet improves as u browse it, because ur node learn about the neighbourhood. But it is really boring to sail around waiting many minutes for content that may not ever be found. So, I'm asking if it automatically browsing the freenet, for example, during the night, will improve the experience to the user, and maybe also to neighbours. I launched wget in mirror mode, telling him to refuse anything, but anyway try to download it (so i let the node know about possible contents): wget -P /hdb/.freenet/spider -m -A pippopippo 127.0.0.1: Any comment? Is it a good idea, or will it only busy the net? daniele ___ Support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.network.freenet.support Unsubscribe at http://dodo.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support Or mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
