[freenet-support] Re: Problem using freenet

Dumb newbie here. Just started using Freenet about 4 hours ago,
installed frost too. Soo far I cant seem to view anything past the web
interface splash page. Various errors, most common is the Route not
found error. Renewed the seednodes. And have tried resetting freenet
several times. Advice?
The node cannot integrate within 4 hours. You have to wait several
hours up to some days for optimized route set up. The node needs to
'learn' about other nodes, that's not an up and running job.

[freenet-support] Announce Digest: Virus?

2004-11-04 Thread todd
Is the message sent to the announce list just a virus? Are you using Outlook
Express, Ian? *snicker*

Re: [freenet-support] Announce Digest: Virus?

2004-11-04 Thread Ian Clarke
If you want to ask me a question then send me an email, what relevance
does this have to the support mailing list?

But for your future reference, forging the from headers in emails is
trivially easy and that is what this virus has obviously done, most
viruses do.

The first thing that brings to mind is reseed node:
and run WITH firewall, but poke holes for freenet to allow
outgoing on all ports, and incoming on listenport
