Re: [freenet-support] windows 0.5.0.4 monolithic installer updated

I've uploaded the monolithic installer incase anyone actually uses that
horrific thing (actually, an amazingly large amount of the freenet installs
have been the monolithic installer)

I've tried to install one (running a small second node ;-)) but freenet doesn't want
to.
It says :

Nov 1, 2002 12:42:46 PM (freenet.node.Main, main): Monolithic datastore no longer
supported. Converting to native. You had better ...blabla
Nov 1, 2002 12:42:53 PM (freenet.node.Main, main): Unexpected Exception:

java.io.IOException: couldn't create native directory
at freenet.fs.dir.NativeFSDirectory.init(NativeFSDirectory.java:383)

I set:
# The type of store we have (this text will get clearer soon).
storeType=monolithic

Three questions as a freesite author.

 1) is fcptools the preferred tool to insert ?

Hmm. I personally prefer them.

8) Do you use the stardard snapshot edition or something
 from cvs ?

 2) which are htl valuse for established non-dbr freesites ?

... I know this is a trivial question, but consider people that
 works from a slow link

 3) how to refresh an edition ? If the keys are in the datastore
the insert stop there, isn't it ?
Must I wipe the datastore ? raise htl ?
Use undocumented features ? Call the White Rabbit for a clue ?
You need to insert a new edition, please see:
http://freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Pub/AuthoringFreesites#Edition_specific_Tips

it's explained pretty good there.

I already know (in fact I can spell it like a mantra...) but
there is no answer to my question.

If I insert a new edition too (and I don't want to do so, just
refresh the old one) I have problem with keys of unchanged
files that lies in my datastore. It is right or not ?
If a key is in my datastore and no more on freenet, a key
collision is generated, and the key doesn't leave my datastore
 at all , isn't it ?

I heard somewhere in devl of a switch in FNP to skip the local datastore,
but fcptools seems not implement it.

Many thanks. Marco

insert it from a transient node (these have no DS I think)

How do i get the CHK@... key corresponding to the KSK?
i want to include the CHK in a freesite, not the KSK, for obvious reasons.

defaults?

if Freenet wnants a FECTempDir then give him. Make sure you have a line like
FECTempDir=FECTempDir
in your F folder, means without %
