[freenet-support] wget with freenet / Security Bug / memory usage

2002-09-12 Thread Thomas Goebel

Hello,

1.)
wget and any other such tools does not support the // URI.

I found the following message.
http://www.ultraviolet.org/mail-archives/freenet-dev.2002/1033.html
http://www.ultraviolet.org/mail-archives/freenet-dev.2002/1050.html

I have patched the wget (url.c) but it does not work with url`s
like .../foo/foo//. It works only with URL`s like .../foo//.

Can anybody tell me how to fix this? (please forward this to
freenet-devel).

2.)
How can i tune the memory usage of the java VM. I can see that the VM
can use
128MB in http://localhost:8890/internal/env. But how can i change this
value?

3.)
Did anybody know anything about the security BUG i found two weeks ago?
(tempfiles in /tmp/t**)

Thomas

Re: [freenet-support] services does not start: No class given

2002-08-11 Thread Thomas Goebel

Hello,

now i have test it on a clean SuSE7.3 release with IBMJava2-JRE-1.3-127.

I have linked the /usr/lib/jdk1.3/ to /usr/lib/java.

Same Problem:

Whats wrong?

I search on the system for the loadService and startNode class. I could
not find it.

 Why so complicated ?

I've only changed the symbolic link '/usr/lib/java' to the new jdk (on
my system /usr/lib/jdk1.3) and if I start freenet with the
'start-freenet.sh' start-script, it works (more or less ;-)

 BTW.: SuSE 7.3, IBM J2RE 1.3.0

[freenet-support] freenet is running - but what keys can i use?

2002-08-11 Thread Thomas Goebel

Hallo,

i have installed freenet on my linux box, and it works fine.
But i don`t know the keys from the websites in the freenet network.

I found some websites with links to freenet key index, but all links
from
those sites will not work. So i don`t know what sites ar in the freenet
network.
The only index page i found is the freenet The Freedom Engine
(nearly 90%
of the links doesn`t work)

Is there any other aktiv freenet key index?

Thomas
