[freenet-support] hosting FEC Frost on freenetproject.org

2003-02-01 Thread Zlatin Balevsky
I know it is not appropriate, but it seems to me the only way to have
the new FEC frost downloadable from outside of freenet. Jantho has
dissapeared and I don't have write access to jtcfrost.sf.net. I have
write access to the TWiki, so if nobody objects I would like to host the
source and executable (200k and 300k) in a direct link from the third
party tools page.

It would be very nice to have as many people as possible start using FEC
frost when 0.5.1 comes out. Thank you in advance
Zlatin

[freenet-support] RE:FEC frost

2003-01-31 Thread Zlatin Balevsky
ok, now its fixed. the make.bat and make.sh are also updated. http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support

But the CVS-Version doesn't compile. There are some missing lib's from
bouncycastle (e.g. paddings).
And an updated make.bat /make.sh would be nice :-)

Could the output of the FEC library please be moved off stdout?
Something like fec.log would do.

[freenet-support] inbound contacts stats in 629

2002-12-10 Thread Zlatin Balevsky
In build 629 the nodestatus servlet displays that there have been no
inbound contact attempts and yet several keys have been requested by my
node. LogInboundContact*=true in the config file, so does the latest
build ignore those lines?

[freenet-support] getting bigger - time to raise defaults

| high if it's a big freesite. The correct response is to implement
| mixmastered first two hops, which we will not implement before 1.0.

This is all nice and good, but please consider raising the defaults
even if by just a little _now_. It will help the end-user experience
greatly.

Thanks in advance.

[freenet-support] idea for wininstaller

since Fred still takes up to 20 or 30 seconds to load on slower machine,
but the tray utility appears almost instantly, it would be neat not to
display the red rabbit while the node is loading but the red rabbit with
the grean arrow on it.

Also a text tip freenet is loading, please wait... would prevent
ultra-newbies to immediately try and click on it.
