It doesn't reliably support Vista. Many users have reported problems with the 
start/stop scripts. This will be fixed in the coming months.

Your friends don't need to be on the darknet, if I have understood
correctly. They only need to be using Freenet.

But if you haven't added any, you can't use the highest security setting.
