2008/10/1 Erik Geiger [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hi, is there a way to update from 2008.8 to 2008.9 without flashing? Er, and without loosing Data ;-) yeah, do: opkg update opkg upgrade in fact, if you've done that at any time since 2008/09/16, you'll have the upgrades already ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support

Re: FDOM Suspend/Lock Issue
Ok, Is there a way to install a new window manager or theme through opkg and then edit the conf files to switch to it? I'm trying to avoid yet another re-flash of the device. Re: [debian] directfb + SDL
not sure if this would help, but I've compiled SDL with fbcon ( no directfb ) for 2008.9 and it seems working ( no hw accel I think ) i had to set following env vars on the handset to get touchscreen alive export SDL_MOUSEDRV=TSLIB export TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/input/touchscreen0 sparky mat wrote: I compiled directfb with input driver list = tslib , and gfx-driver list = none. Post this, I compiled SDL with directfb backend support. The problem is, SDL doesn't seem to respond to touchscreen events. I am not too familiar with directfb. Is there any way to check if the touchscreen input is working at the directfb level and if it is, why is it not working with SDL? ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support
sms's not being received when sent
Ive just noticed that with a normal 2008.9, any sms messages are not seen by the FR until its rebooted, when they all arrive at once. This appears to be the case whether its suspended or not. Calls appear to work ok. Before I raise a bug on it, is anyone else seeing this? There are some old bugs that are similar, but this was supposed to be fixed.
