Boot problem
I just flashed SHR testing (uImage-2.6.29-oe11+gitr0+973a41fce60e5f6edfcf0eaf94056a57eee65e16-r8-om-gta02.bin) + qi-s3c6410-1.0.2-r1+gitr0+c38b062a609f1442e6a9e13005cfbdfd59a5ac0d.udfu to my Freerunner, but it will only boot with the Boot option of the NOR boot menu (pressing the Power button does nothing) Waking up from Standby does not work either, the screen stays dark an I get chopped-off static from the speaker. Re: Normal Freerunner boot problem...
Thank to all who responded. The problem was uboot_env boot menu config was bad... Most likely user error with flashing and not making a backup first. TO ALL, BACKUP FIRST!!! Freerunner, GTA02v5 or 6, the date code on the phone is 6/20/2008 - CAN *NOT* boot with Power button only - (see image). - can boot up the NAND boot loader - CAN *NOT* boot from the NAND boot option - (see image) - can boot NOR boot loader. - can boot kernel with NOR boot menu option The NAND boot error reads: - NAND read: mtdparts variable not set, see 'help mtdparts' incorrect device type in kernel 'kernel' is not a number Wrong Image Format for bootm command ERROR: can't get kernel image! - I am assuming that the Power button problem is the same as the NAND boot. Any help with instructions will help. Also, I am primarily a windows user, please don't throw stones, but I will try my best if the only solution is to fix it from Linux. -- Peter O'Connor [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Peter O'Connor [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ support mailing list support@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/support
