Some questions about the freerunne

2012-10-15 Thread Michaël Parchet
Hello,

I'm looking for a telephone with the free software. I need to read the open
document file. Unfortunately, In my region,
has a cafe I frequent my phone provider have only a 3g antenna.

is there a possibility to add the 3g and make some phone with this ?

Is there a software to reed and edit the opendocument ?

Wat's the antenna quality ? it's good ?

There are a software to reed the aac (m4a) and mp3

What's the music format ?

Whath's the warranty conditions ?

There is no camera isn't it ?

If all the answers at this question is positive. I chose this telephone.

What's your answer ?

Tanks for your help

Best regards

If you have the engineering know-how, it should be possible to replace the
wireless module, but this is a Big Change and would require a
recertification of the phone. To be clear: this entails changing the chip,
the main board, the antenna and hoping that you don't have to code a new
driver for this.
With Qtmoko, I think MP3's were native; I would not presume that there is
sufficient processing power avaliable to playback an AAC file.

Hi Friends,
did you never hear about gta04.org?

It is exactly what you are proposing. And it exists for more than 2 years and
is well supported by QtMoko and others.
The only drawback at the moment is that they are sold out.

Wow! I missed that. Still, the question as about the Freerunner so the
 answer stands.
With a 800MHz procsssor and a GPU, MP3 and AAC are easy :)
Good work! Is it possible to announce any major developments for GTA04 here?

I did not even remember that I was subscribed to this list here and it is
quite dead. This is the third (3) topic started this year...

There are other much more active mailing lists where everything is announced:

e.g.
commun...@openmoko.org
commun...@openphoenux.org
