[pfSense Support] Developer howto?
Is there a document on how to help out with development? I would like to contribute, but don't know how to setup a development environment. I noticed the development iso, i guess that's a start, but do the updates work with the development version? I am a skilled PHP programmer, but FreeBSD is rather new to me. -- Jeroen - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

On 10/13/05, Thomas Booms [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Why do the developers wrote this note in the last version? *Note: In/out counters will wrap at 32bit (4 Gigabyte) ! * I have these values currently: In/out packets 75222048/70844380 (282.08 MB/3.65 GB). If I take a pocket calculator, i simply divide the incoming packets / 1500 and this result by 1024. I get then 48.97 GB. I dont understand, why it should not be possible to get this value viewed in the Interface Status site. If the counter wraps, so far i see it, the amount of packets must be 423120 instead of the above shown. Packets vary in sizes. Not all packets are 1500, this is the maximum packet size for this network architecture. -- Jeroen - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I would like to know how to upgrade my platform from 0.86.2 to 0.86.4. Download the full update from the website. Login to the web-gui and go to System/Manual update. Enable firmware upload and upload the file you downloaded. This is all! The FW will boot and you have new version. -- Jeroen - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[pfSense Support] Access ADSL modem on WAN port
Hi, I have an DSL modem with a web interface from which i can get the status etc. It only reacts to an IP adres in the same subnet (10.0.0.0/24). Pfsense gets an IP using DHCP, but it is in a different range then the DSL modem (while being on the same interface). Is it possible to have 2 IP's on the WAN side? Dhcp Static 10.0.0.0/24? I've tried using virtual ip addresses but that doesn't seem to work, unless i'm doing something wrong. The ideal situation would be to have 2 ip addresses and tell outbound NAT to use IP adress X for 10.0.0.0/24 and IP address Y for the rest of the internet. Is this possible with pfsense? -- Jeroen - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
