Hi. I'm using Pidgin. When I hit Enable logging in an IM convo,
it begins logging from that point. What I'd like is for it to log all
of the conversation up to that point, and continue logging from that
point on. (That is, I want to be able to log the entire conversation by
enabling logging at any point during it.) How can I do this?

 Thanks,

I don't believe you can. You COULD copy the part of the conversation
that already occured and paste it manually into the logfile. But you're
asking how to go back in time. :)

(There may be a hidden way, but none that I know).

2008-09-21 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Here is what I see at the bottom of the main Pidgin window when Yahoo
disconnects...

my yahoo id disabled
Unknown error number 0. Logging into the Yahoo! website may fix this.

So I logged into the Yahoo website but the problem is still exists in Pidgin.

I second that.
It has been happening to me too.
Its been happening frequently in the past few days.

 Hi, pidgin support,

I just downloaded pidgin 2.5.1, I have used it with no problem, but when I
closed the program in order to restart it, I saw that my account was not
save by pidgin. In fact, whenever I launch pidgin, the program ask me to
create a account, it does not remember
 my savings.
And, I also try to launch pidgin 2.5.0, but each time is the same thing, It
 does not remember my account.

What does the debug log (http://d.pidgin.im/wiki/TipsForBugReports) say?

You probably should file a ticket in the bug tracker to post the debug log.

You entered the wrong password for that account. Correct it in the

new, frequent disconnection to yim / no auto reconnect :-|

2008-09-21 Thread Geoffrey Lane
First off I dun know what you consider fatal error, but considering this is
a new issue (within days) and the acc worked flawless since I think this is
either protocol or yim changes. I keep getting error (0), logging into
website may fix and it says need to re-enable account.
I've already done this, recreated account and even my entire .purple
directory... Nothing is working. Is this related to yim service/protocol
changes or a known problem with pidgin? I have no other problems with other
services/games/etc during time, no failed wireless, disconnections, etc...
Running windows vista, latest sp and latest version of pidgin

Another thing, I think the reconnect should be set in preferences as was
before.. Maybee reconnect attempt and attempt reconnect on fatal
checkboxes, timeframe and retry count for either. If someone's already made
a plugin please share

Thanks,
Freeballer
