hi Folks Is there any resolution with regard of this topic? http://pidgin.im/pipermail/support/2008-August/001907.html Odd as with 2.3.x and below versions it used to work but not with newer versions. Cyberoam being a firewall is probably blocking access. You could try setting the proxy settings or you could provide us with the error message so we get a better idea of what is going wrong. Pidgin - Yahoo system message for [name]
The messages pop up when a IM service is not available Yahoo! system message for [name] The Yahoo! Messenger network is temporarily down due to maintenance. . How can I turn these off they keep coming and they will send any running app/game to the taskbar ! which is REAL annoying. Buddy list blank
I've just installed Pidgin, as Trillian stopped working, but I cannot see my buddy list. The window is empty, and I can't send messages. outage today / pidgin
I realize there was a maintenance / outage today, but for the last 4 hrs or so pidgin will not connect but the official client does... So if I'm mistaken or resolves before this is viewed I'm sorry.. Is there any new settings/server/etc.. during this or any other way to connect via pidgin instead? I saw pager server, so is this the same everywhere or are there diff ones? Pidgin is a client to connect to ... oh about 10 different client servers. There cannot be a pidgin outage. He's referring to Yahoo. I haven't been able to connect to Yahoo servers all night with anything but an official client.
