When you have multiple accounts active, pidgin removes the per-protocol status and uses a generic set instead. You can still specify individual account statuses by clicking the "New Status" item from the status menu. > Another thing I believe might not be working properly with multiple > protocol accounts is multiple jabber resources and priorities. > Gadu-Gadu may not have such functionality but starting another > instance of pidgin(with GG and jabber) in my opinion shouldn't cause > to disconnect both jabber and GG in first client (I should be able to > configure jabber priorities somewhere -- or maybe pidgin doesn't > support it?) For Pidgin this will work for XMPP as long as your server supports multiple connections and both connections have unique resources. If both of your clients of the resource set to the same thing, this will generally prevent the account from being signed on in two places at once. I am not sure whether GG supports multiple connections. Kevin signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? pidgin 2.7.9 && FreeBSD 9-CURRENT && utmpx.h
Hello, Pidgin 2.7.9 does not compile on FreeBSD 9-CURRENT because this does not have utmp.h anymore; see http://wiki.freebsd.org/PortsBrokenOnCurrent for more details about the change from utmp.h to utmpx.h; in our case it is enough to delete the line 33 in file pidgin-2.7.9/libpurple/protocols/zephyr/Zinternal.c For the rest it compiles fine and seems to work. Facebook Chat uses XMPP, which Pidgin currently has support for. http://www.facebook.com/sitetour/chat.php On 1/16/11 8:24 AM, James Wolf wrote: Hello, I thought I would drop a suggestion in your boxes, You have support for the MySpaceIM, I think it would also be a great idea to add support for Facebook.
