Re: Getting my workplace connected

I do not care if we use our gmail or davron.net accounts but either way when I enable it says under my e-mail it is not authorized. What should I do to fix this? Another possible option is to run your own XMPP server with your own accounts (which could be @davron.net if you wanted). You can make this server accessible for remote/home/road-based users as well as office-based users, if you wish. I'd recommend the Openfire server. It's not difficult to set up and takes little ongoing management, in my experience. See http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/openfire/index.jsp. It works well with Pidgin. (Note, I have no connection with Openfire or its developers; I am simply a user of the software). -- Mark Rousell PGP public key: http://www.signal100.com/markr/pgp Key ID: C9C5C162 ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Re: Pidgin account is gone
Rhonda, Hi, if you use Pidgin for chat at work it is very likely that this was setup by someone in your IT department. This is a public mailing list, and although we can help you troubleshoot your problem it is very likely that your IT department would be the only ones able to help you in this circumstance. There is nobody on this public mailing list with access to any of your account information. If Pidgin is something that you set up yourself, please provide the technical details of how you set this up such as the protocol you are using and any special settings you have entered. Do not send your account name and do not send your password. Again, this is likely something your IT department or IT contact should be able to look into first and foremost. -Tres - tres.finocchi...@gmail.com On Wed, Jun 4, 2014 at 8:12 AM, rhonda.cul...@oracle.com rhonda.cul...@oracle.com wrote: Hello, My Pidgin account is disabled and I'm not sure how this happened or how to correct it.
