Hi,
I did as instructed but could not see the change. Both local and remote
names still appear on the left. I even restarted pidgin but did not see
the any change.

You can use other xmpp clients like Xabber on your android phone. It
supports OTR as well.

Hi,

How do I make my friend's text appear on left of the chat window and
mine on the right. This is how most phone messaging apps show the chats
nowadays.
