Re: Seamonkey2.0.2 and debian 64 bit, no flashplayer
Hi I installed seamonkey 2.0.2 in Debian Lenny 64 bit, and it runs, so- is it both 32 and 64 bit compatible. However it will not run the 64 bit libflashplayer.so file downloaded from adobe in the plugins folder as the 32 bit seamonkey will with the 32 bit file. I then tried the 32 bit libflashplayer.so, and seamonkey promptly crashed. I looked on the seamonkey website but nothing terribly helfpul revealed itself. So I wonder how to get 64 bit flash working, or even 64 bit java going or is this still a work in progress. Would symlinks help. Any non MS folk have any ideas I wonder? SM2.02 - Browser and Email Windows Freeze
I have SM 2.0.2 running under Win XP. Now that the problem with email address freeze-ups (SM2.0 and SM 2.0.1) is solved I have a new, and worse, bug. I can use the mouse cursor once or twice in the email or browser window, and then they all lock up. I have to click to activate a window in another app, and that frees up SeaMonkey for another couple of mouse clicks. Typing text in SeaMonkey is no problem. This is making SM such a pain I'm considering junking it in favour of another browser/email client. Re: Multiple profiles in different user areas Win XP
Lance Courtland wrote: I have not been able to keep up with this forum for 3 months, so please excuse the repetition if the question has been answered. Has the problem of upgrading from SM 1.18 to 2.2 with multiple profiles in different user areas in Win XP Pro been solved? Last time I tried to upgrade to SM 2.0 the profiles never upgraded right, and it took me hours to uninstall 2.0 and reinstall 1.8. I don't want to do that again. TIA Lance Lance, you mention the last time I tried to upgrade.. This implies to me that this was a second (or more) attempt to upgrade. If this is the case, be careful, because when you first tried SM 2.x.x, it would have made a copy of your SM 1.1.x profile, and then you may have deleted SM 2.x.x (but not removed this copy of the profile). Then, when you re-installed SM 2.x.x, it would have picked up this old, un-up-to-date (if that's English??), version of your profile. And when you, now, re-install SM 2.x.x, it will again pick up this old profile, i.e. before you re-install SM 2, delete the copy of your profile. *Be Careful*. At this stage SM 2.x.x will only pick up your default profile, which can be a problem, but the work-around is fairly simple...in the new SM, create the extra profiles, in their simplest, then copy/move the folders over from your SM 1.1.18 profile.
