Have you set View-Messages to All and View-Threads to All? Does that
show your mail??

If not, try Tools-Switch Profiles. Does this show more profiles than
you'd expect??

Ask Debian/ubuntu or whoever you are using it from for help, or use
our official .tar.bz2 packages, or use a decent distro that does
packages for our software (like openSUSE). We are not doing any
distro-specific packaging, that's the job or distros after all.

I understood that SUSE is now owned by Microsoft, and is thence, likely
to follow Microsoft policies and procedures.

As for the rest of the message, I have already addressed those issues,
in a previous posting just sent by me to the list.

I have finally upgraded from Mozilla 1.1.18 to SeaMonkey 2.0.1, and most
things went smoothly.

The one problem I have noticed is the missing Form Fill function. We
used to be able to open a Form Fill application and prefill in form data
such as name, address, phone, etc.

This whole function seems to be missing in this version of SM.

Go to the blank entry and type the first letter of the response.
That is ALL you probably have to do!

Tags in 2.1

2010-12-11 Thread JohnW-Mpls

Bit by bit I'm starting to use 2.1's new Bookmark features - as
expected, Tabs are handy.

However, I have yet to figure out Tags - what are they for and how do
people use them? Is there a description somewhere?

Let's say you have a number of bookmarks in different folders like this:

Mozilla SeaMonkey
Mozilla Firefox
Mozilla Thunderbird
Mozilla Downloads
Mozilla Extensions

You could assign the tag Mozilla to all those bookmarks.

Let's say you a folder HTML CSS in which there are a number of
bookmarks to articles on Mozilla products. Add the Mozilla tag to them.

Now when you open the bookmarks manager you can enter Mozilla in the
search box and the list panel will be filtered to those bookmarks.
Further, you can save the search and it will appear in the left panel
where you can just click it instead of entering the tag(s) in the search
box.

Probably other things to do but that's what I know.

Another thing is that once you have started using tags, virtual
bookmarks folders are added that list all [recent] tags (and the
bookmarks tagged accordingly).

You can also have the location bar search tags if you change the
browser.urlbar.default.behavior pref (e.g. using about:config) to either
0 (History and Bookmarks, Firefox's default), 2 (Bookmarks), 4 (Tags),
or any combination that includes one of the above bits. Cf.:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.urlbar.default.behavior

Interestingly we didn't have a bug for adapting the Preferences UI yet,
so I filed it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=618619

I had this problem, and corrected it by going to

2.0.10 Seamonkey - printers not seen

2010-12-11 Thread Fred James
I have upgraded to Seamonkey 2.0.10 on my Mandriva 2008.0 desktop and
now the printers are not available (Navigate: File-Print). They were
available on the older version of Seamonkey, and they are working from
the CLI as well as other applications such as OpenOffice. Thank you for
any help you may be able to offer
