Continually getting the following article message day after day. I click on Click here to remove all expired articles and the message is cleared but returns the next day. Article: Error! newsgroup server responded:no such article in group Perhaps the article has expired (66796) Click here to remove all expired articles end of article Another thing I have noticed is when news.mozilla.org is first opened and SeaMonkey is scanning for new articles, this news group initially shows, maybe, 8 unread articles then drops to, maybe, one unread article. I am referring to the pain on the left showing the news servers, news feeds, and email. Hope that is clear. I have tried the properties repair folder but this is not a lasting solution. I don't think this is a SeaMonkey problem but rather a news server problem. I don't have this problem with any other group on news.mozilla.org or any other server for that matter. I don't remember if the plugin crash protection feature was implemented before or after SM 2.0.14; but you should try upgrading both SeaMonkey and Flash. still in 2.0.14 myself I had some crashes in flash, but it is not the real culprit, but the install proc of adobe, I am solved by uninstalling and reinstalling flash whith a fresh download from adobe, they seem to have improved it silently. -- cyberzen ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

I changed the storage to remove everything over 30 days old [it was showing 60K+ messages], but it still wouldn't download. Next step, I deleted the newsgroup and subscribed again, and that took care of the re-numbering process or whatever they changed recently. Now the group is showing 110 total. I've noticed there's been a BIG drop off in activity and I'm wondering if others who have not upgraded to the latest versions are having a problem downloading also. :) bj ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Windows XP Pro SP3 SeaMonkey 2.4.1 Frog An image file is binary and is separated from its non-binary E-mail message as they enter the Internet. The two travel through the Internet separately with the image file marked as an attachment to the E-mail message. Then, at the recipient's E-mail application, they are recombined UNLESS the recipient has set an option (as I do) not to open any attachments. The problem is that even GIF, JPEG, BMP, and PNG image file have been known to contain serious malware. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's US-CERT database contains over 1,000 reports of vulnerabilities traced to image files. To protect against this, many users block the opening of ANY image files. As a result, your GIF signature file might wind up being ignored by recipients of your E-mail messages. -- David E. Windows XP Pro SP3 SeaMonkey 2.4.1 Frog Frog, This is rather an involved process, but it can be done. You need to create .gif image file with your sig in the file. You can send me a .docx file exactly how you want the image file to look and read, I can capture the data and save it in a .gif file and return to you. You should be able to get my e-mail address from the header of this reply. In the meantime you need to create a new folder named Signature under your SM profile folder, this is where your image and HTML file will reside. You need to create a blank HTML document named sig and save it to your profile/Signature folder. Use SM Composer to create the HTML document. Open the e-mail account Settings and select Attach the signature from a file instead. Navigate to your profile folder/Signature and select the HTML document. (Nothing will happen to your new messages right away, not until you get the image signature pasted into the HTML document. -- Armadillo Web Development www.armadilloweb.com Cell: 903.244.3644 Opening your Door to Opportunity and inviting the world to walk through.
